OUR STORY
CASA LEAL is more than a coffee brand — it’s the heartbeat of my family, steeped in tradition, love, and the rich soil of our homeland.
My relationship with coffee began before memory. In our family, even babies were given a tiny sip — a gentle initiation into a lifelong ritual. That first taste, warm and earthy, marked the beginning of something sacred. From then on, coffee wasn’t just a drink — it was a feeling, a connection, a way of life.
Our story begins in La Goleta, a hidden village cradled by the misty mountains of Amatepec in the State of Mexico. There, amid the lush green hills and the quiet hum of nature, my great-grandparents planted the first coffee trees by hand — with nothing but hope in their hearts and faith in the land. They nurtured those trees like family, and in return, the land gave us something extraordinary.
My grandmother carried that legacy with pride. She spent her life among the coffee plants — hands stained by the soil, heart tethered to the rhythms of the harvest. She roasted every batch over open flame, stirred by memory, and sold each coffee with stories woven in. My mother grew up at her side, learning each step like a sacred rite — the picking, the drying, the grinding, the brewing. Coffee was in our blood, as familiar as our family name.
Even now, my grandmother still grows her own coffee, her hands steady and weathered, her spirit as fierce as ever. She’s the keeper of our legacy — the soul behind every bean.
When I moved to the U.S., that connection never left me. Every time my grandmother visits, she brings bags of freshly roasted coffee — wrapped in cloth, tucked gently into her suitcase, still warm with the scent of our homeland. We sit at my kitchen table, the steam rising between us, and suddenly we’re back in La Goleta — surrounded by laughter, stories, birdsong, and the scent of wet earth and woodsmoke. Just one cup, and we are home.
CASA LEAL is my love letter to that place, to my family, to every generation who poured their hearts into the land. It’s not just coffee — it’s heritage, devotion, and the echo of every morning spent around the kitchen table with those we love.
Every bean is a piece of our story — grown with care, harvested with pride, and roasted with soul. It carries the warmth of our traditions and the spirit of La Goleta in every sip.
Thank you — truly — for being here. For letting me share a piece of who we are. For inviting our story into your mornings, your homes, your hearts.
From our soul to your cup — welcome to CASA LEAL.
With all my love,
Yasmin
